Product Details
- 01 Common-conductor zinc-alloy ground block
The one-piece zinc-alloy conductor creates a common electrical path between the 1 x 4 AWG main ground connection and 4 x 8 AWG branch connections. Each cable is retained by an individual Allen set screw for organized routing and service access. All connection points are electrically common and do not provide circuit isolation. - 02 Transparent ABS protective cover
The transparent ABS cover helps reduce accidental contact with the connection points and keeps the cable terminations visible for inspection. It can be removed for installation and service; environmental sealing is not implied. - 03 Secure mounting base and Allen set screws
The molded base includes predrilled holes for secure installation on a suitable flat panel, amplifier rack or equipment board. Allen hex set screws retain the stripped conductors; cable preparation, tightening torque and strain relief should follow the installation requirements.
Specifications
| Model | DB-19 |
| Product Type | Ground Distribution Block |
| Main Ground Ports | 1 |
| Branch Ground Ports | 4 |
| Main Ground Cable Size | 1 x 4 AWG |
| Branch Ground Cable Size | 4 x 8 AWG |
| Conductive Block Material | Solid Zinc Alloy |
| Cover Material | Transparent ABS |
| Terminal Type | Allen Hex Set Screw |
| Mounting Type | Base Mount (Predrilled Screw Holes) |
| Fuse Protection | Not included; ground conductors should not be fused |
| Typical Application | Car Audio / Common Negative Distribution |
Port counts are totals for each block. Confirm cable size, combined return current and grounding architecture against the connected equipment before installation.
Ground conductors should not be fused. Protect each corresponding positive circuit with an appropriately rated fuse or circuit breaker, and tighten the set screws to the specified torque once verified.
Compare ground distribution layouts
Compare DB-19 with other common-conductor ground distribution layouts in the DAIERTEK range. Matching cable size alone does not establish mechanical interchangeability.
| Model | Main Ground Port | Branch Ground Ports | Architecture | Layout Reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DB-18 | 1 x 4 AWG | 2 x 8 AWG | Common conductor | 2 branch ports |
| DB-23 | 1 x 4 AWG | 2 x 8 AWG | Common conductor | Alternate model |
| DB-19 Current Product |
1 x 4 AWG | 4 x 8 AWG | Common conductor | This product |
| DB-27 | 1 x 1/0 AWG | 3 x 4 AWG | Common conductor | Larger cable layout |
Port counts are totals for each listed block. The models below use a common-conductor ground architecture but differ in main-port size, branch-port size and branch count. Select the model from the combined return current, cable sizes, mounting space and service requirements.
Centralized ground distribution in low-voltage DC systems

Car Audio Amplifier Grounding
Connect 4 x 8 AWG equipment ground connections to the 1 x 4 AWG main ground connection, providing an organized common return point for amplifiers, powered subwoofers and audio-processing equipment.

Multi-Amplifier Negative Return
Consolidate the negative return cables from multiple amplifiers or powered audio devices into one main ground path. Keep branch ground cables appropriately sized and as short as practical for the installation.
Auxiliary Equipment Grounding
Provide a centralized negative return point for suitable lighting controllers, accessory relays, audio processors and other auxiliary DC equipment. Confirm the combined return current and conductor capacity before installation.
Application examples describe potential installation contexts, not verified fitment to a particular vehicle. Confirm combined return current, conductor capacity, mounting location, grounding architecture and environmental exposure before installation. Each associated positive circuit must receive correctly rated overcurrent protection.
